I designed this graphic to celebrate the announcement of Cohort 3, Lunar Startups’ largest cohort of underestimated founders to date.
Lunar Startups is a new model for startup acceleration specializing in growth, connection, and innovation for entrepreneurs who identify as Black, Indigenous, people of color, women, and LGBTQ+.
As the marketing/communications lead on a four-person team at an early-stage organization, I wear a lot of hats. I optimize content on social, web, and email channels to serve Lunar’s community of entrepreneurs AND potential funders. I bring internal growth strategies to life and support Lunar founders throughout their year-long program experience.

Executed visual design strategy and performed rigorous copyedits for two 20+ page Impact Reports. Download them here.
Earned local press coverage in the Minneapolis St. Paul Business Journal and Twin Cities Business Magazine (forthcoming.)
Social media campaign earned second-highest engagement rate for the month of June, 2020.
Email campaign earned a 45% conversion rate for web page visitors.

Produced social and digital content to promote webinar series for local entrepreneurs and leaders to connect, share, and learn from each other. Featured experts included Arlan Hamilton and Dessa.
Increased customer/programs leads by 94% by executing digital marketing campaign.
Executed email automation campaigns to re-engage webinar attendees and share resources.
“Our entrepreneurs are the solution” campaign
After George Floyd was murdered by the Minneapolis Police Department, our founders and Minneapolis community were affected in deep and significant ways. Many leaders, brands, and organizations were looking to begin (or increase) their anti-racism work. To respond to this moment, I co-created a list of “Entrepreneurs with the Solutions We Need” to support founders with solutions to systematic racism in their business DNA. My social media campaign drove traffic.
Cohort 3 Application Process and Launch
My announcement of Cohort 3 entrepreneurs earned record-high engagement, even with breaking news updates from the 2020 campaign trail.
I created compelling social media content such as audiograms and Instagram collaborations and takeovers. Check out this example of storytelling using Instagram Stories.
